Profile: Dan Havers, aka DJ Samurai, began rolling out dnb on DJ Kid's Restless Natives imprint in 2004. Not long after a brief encounter with Andy C brought him and DJ Kryptik to the RAM camp, where the partnership was set in stone under the DC Breaks moniker. Having had releases on Frequency and High Lite the duo have now set up DC Breaks Recs with the RAM crew, an exclusive imprint for their own sound. Profile:Economy of force is one of the best ways to describe the sound of Ambush records. Based in South London, it stands as a hopeful flash point in the micro-conservative landscape of electronic dance music. Started in 1997 by Toby Reynolds (DJ Scud) and Jason Skeet (Aphasic) it operates from a refreshingly intuitive perspective. With an approach that acknowledges a distinctly contemporary mind-set Ambush represent the most recent branch of modern adventurous music. Influences like power electronics, free improvisation and musique concrete, give Ambush a strong sense of precedent, while the frameworks of drum & bass, hardcore techno, hip-hop and dancehall reggae gives it firm roots in the populist tradition of soundsystem culture. По мнению знаменитых владельцев Toby Reynolds (DJ Scud) и Jason Skeet (Aphasic) из-за бурного развития коммерческого саунда, у лейблов представляющих подобный underground практически нет будущего. Именно это и явилось причиеой закрытия такого поистине заслуживающего уважения лейбла. Рекомендовано качать всем кто знает что такое не коммерческий саунд, к томуже все релизы отличного качества, уступает лишь первый на вскидку в 192kbps.
